InspectMy Lease

What we store

In plain terms, so you can decide before you upload anything.

The file you upload

We don't keep it. It is held in memory while we read the text out of it, then discarded. It is never written to disk and never goes into our database. If you paste the text instead, the same is true of what you pasted.

Your report

We keep this, for as long as the service exists, so you can come back to it. It contains the score, the clauses we flagged, and a short quote from your lease for each one, at most 400 characters. Those quotes are the report: without them we would be telling you something is wrong without showing you where. It also contains the two optional answers you gave us, the rent and whether you have signed.

Who can read your report

Anyone with its link. There is no password on it, which is what makes it work with no account. We ask search engines not to index those pages, and they are not listed anywhere on this site. Treat the link like the report itself.

Your account, if you make one

Your email address, your password stored as a hash we cannot reverse, and the list of which reports are yours. Nothing else. There is no profile, and we never ask for your name, address or phone number.

Payments

Stripe handles these. Your card details go to them and never touch our servers. We keep the Stripe reference, the amount and the date, which is what lets us know your report is paid for.

Cookies

One, and only once you sign in, so we know it is you. There is no advertising or analytics on this site and nothing follows you to other sites.

Getting your data removed

Email us and we will delete your account and your reports. There is no button for this yet, which we would rather tell you than hide.
